Chris Sciacca (b. 1974) in New York, holds a B.A. in Geography from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a B.A. in Digital Music and Sound Arts from the University of Brighton. Seeking to integrate disciplines, his research explores the relationship between soundscape and landscape. His audio works attempt to impart a sensory understanding of space and place through an intensive location-recording practice. Influenced by the films and audio of Harvard’s Sensory Ethnography Lab, he aims to produce ethnographically-informed cultural documents that foster a heightened and rewarding listening experience.
