Mike Blow is bringing three pieces that explore an idea of ‘automatic music’ – interactive installations which respond to (or are played by) the audience, weather-driven work, and improvised performance. Automatic music encapsulates ideas of generative systems, self organisation and feedback.
An experimental interactive installation that uses hacked ex-military hardware to create music
A cabinet containing winds collected from around the world. Each drawer, when opened, plays the sound of a famous wind such as the Mistral or Chinook. Visitors can listen to the wind sounds individually or create compositions by opening multiple drawers.
